What's the difference between a milonga, a marathon and a festival?
A milonga is a single social dance, often just a few hours long. A marathon runs non-stop over a full weekend with multiple halls. A festival adds daytime workshops and stage classes on top of the evening milongas, usually across several days.
What level do I need to attend?
Most events welcome every level, from first-timers finding their feet to experienced dancers. Check the event description for any specific guidance.
Is it role-balanced? Can I come without a partner?
Yes — tango events are built around dancing with different partners through the evening, so you don't need to arrive as a couple. Role balance (leaders/followers) varies event by event.
Can I attend solo?
Absolutely — most tangueros show up solo. It's the norm in the social tango scene, and it's also the easiest way to meet new people.
Can I see who's attending?
Yes. In the app you see how many tangueros are going and — for those with a public profile — who they are. Find out if friends or dancers at your level are coming before you even arrive.
How do I book a spot?
Open the event in the app, choose your ticket and pay in a few taps. The QR code stays in the app wallet: show it at the door, no queues.
