If you've ever spent twenty minutes hunting for a milonga's address, or asked five different friends whether the orchestra plays on Saturday, you already know why it exists. It's not an event database — it's the room where the tango conversation can finally live in one place, instead of being scattered across a hundred groups, flyers and mailing lists.
You probably don't need a reason — just the relief of no longer chasing tango across ten different apps. If your tango life today is a mosaic of Facebook events, Telegram chats, mailing lists and word of mouth, Tanguear is a quiet place where it can all come together. The people are the same. The milongas are the same. They're just easier to find.
Sign up and tell us a little about yourself — which role you dance, where you go, the orchestras and schools you want to follow. From there, Tanguear lets you do what you'd normally do offline: stay in touch with friends, message someone before a milonga to see if they'll be there, check what your school is organizing. Nothing more, nothing complicated.
Mostly from the people who organize them: milongas, festivals and schools that publish directly. For the rest, Tanguear quietly listens to a small list of trusted tango sources — partly so newcomers find the floor as quickly as the regulars, partly because no one should miss a milonga just because they don't know the right Telegram channel.
Free. For tangueros, partners, friends — always free. The only money that passes through Tanguear is when you choose to buy a ticket, a course or merchandise from an organizer or a school — and that's between you and them.
To delete your account from the app: log in, go to your user profile, find and tap the 'Delete account' button. A confirmation will appear to make sure you want to proceed. If you're sure, confirm the action. Your account, together with the events you created, will be permanently removed from the system. This action is irreversible and all data associated with your account will be lost. Make sure you've saved any important information before proceeding.
