It's not an event database — it's the room where the tango conversation can finally live in one place, instead of being scattered across a hundred groups, flyers and mailing lists. In the app, that room has a map. Open it and the milongas, prácticas, schools and orchestras around you are all there, wherever you happen to be. You can follow the dancers and orchestras you love, write to a partner before a milonga, buy a ticket and get in with a QR code at the door. For anyone who dances, it costs nothing, and it works anywhere tango does.

You probably don't need a reason — just the relief of no longer chasing tango across ten different apps. If your tango life today is a mosaic of Facebook events, Telegram chats, mailing lists and word of mouth, Tanguear is a quiet place where it can all come together. The people are the same. The milongas are the same. They're just easier to find. What changes is small, but you feel it every week. You stop screenshotting addresses and asking around whether tonight's milonga is still on. A night you saved reminds you before it slips past. You walk in already knowing a few faces will be there. And when there's a ticket to buy, you buy it in the app instead of wiring money to someone you've never met. The dancing doesn't change. The ten open browser tabs do.

Sign up and tell us a little about yourself — which role you dance, where you go, the orchestras and schools you want to follow. From there, Tanguear lets you do what you'd normally do offline: stay in touch with friends, message someone before a milonga to see if they'll be there, check what your school is organizing. Nothing more, nothing complicated. Most people start with the map: the milongas and prácticas near you, saved with a tap, with a reminder when they come around. Before a night out you might message a partner or see who else is going. At the door you show a QR code instead of queuing. Afterwards, if the orchestra was good, you say so in a review, and the next dancer benefits. Lean on as much of this as you like. None of it is homework.

Mostly from the people who organize them: milongas, festivals and schools that publish directly. For the rest, Tanguear quietly listens to a small list of trusted tango sources — partly so newcomers find the floor as quickly as the regulars, partly because no one should miss a milonga just because they don't know the right Telegram channel. Organizers post their events straight into the app, usually in a couple of minutes, and a weekly milonga only has to be set up once before it keeps repeating on its own. Follow a city, a school or an organizer and their new dates appear as they're added. If something's off, the organizer can claim the listing and correct it. The point isn't to have the biggest database. It's that the night you're looking for is actually there when you look.

The guides walk through each of those in full, step by step, with screenshots from the app. They read in a few minutes and can be searched by keyword or browsed by topic.

Free. For tangueros, partners and friends, always free. There's no subscription and no premium tier waiting to be unlocked: making a profile, using the map, following people, messaging, saving events and checking in at the door all cost nothing, and they always will. Downloading the app is free, and organizers can publish their events without paying. Money only enters the picture when you choose to buy something from an organizer or a school — a ticket, a class, or something from their shop. They set the price, the payment runs through Stripe, and the rest is between you and them. Tanguear takes nothing extra from the person buying.

To delete your account from the app: log in, open the main menu and tap 'Preferences' (the user-gear icon), scroll down to the 'Account' section and tap 'Delete profile'. A confirmation will appear to make sure you want to proceed. If you're sure, confirm the action. Your account and all personal data associated with it will be permanently removed from the system, and you'll receive a confirmation email. This action is irreversible.
