Buying a Ticket: The Attendee Experience

When you find an event you want to attend and it has a ticket price, purchasing is quick and secure. Here is what the experience looks like from start to finish.

Finding and adding a ticket

Open any event in the app and look at the schedule details. If the event has a price greater than zero, a Buy Ticket button appears.

Tap it to add the ticket to your shopping cart. If the event has multiple schedules (for example, a festival with several sessions), you can add tickets for different schedules before checking out.

Reviewing your cart

The cart shows a clear breakdown:

If you have a coupon code (from a promotion), you can apply it here to receive a percentage discount.

Checkout

Confirm your purchase and enter your card details through a secure Stripe payment form. Tanguear never sees or stores your card number — everything is handled by Stripe.

After payment

Once the payment succeeds:

• A unique ticket is generated with a serial number (e.g., T2024-A3F8B2C1)
• The ticket includes a QR code for check-in at the door
• You receive a confirmation email with the ticket details
• The ticket appears in the My Tickets section of the app

Adding the ticket to a digital wallet

You can add your ticket to Apple Wallet (on iPhone) or Google Wallet (on Android). This lets you present the ticket at the door without even opening the app.

Your order history

All your purchases are saved in Order History. Each order includes:

• The order code (a unique reference)
• The status (pending, processing, or complete)
• A detailed breakdown of what was purchased
• The list of tickets with their check-in status
• A messaging section where you can communicate with the organiser about the order
