The Organization Profile

The Organization role is designed for milonga organisers, festival producers, tango venues, cultural associations, and any entity that brings the tango community together through events.

Unlike the other roles, the Organization profile does not extend the Dancer profile. It is a completely separate structure, focused on managing events, selling tickets, and building a community around your venue or brand.

What the Organization profile includes

Organization name

Your public identity on Tanguear — the name of your milonga, festival, venue, or association.

Address and phone

Your physical location and contact information, visible to everyone on the platform.

Overview

A description of your organisation — your history, your mission, the kind of events you produce, and what makes your milongas special.

Connect your Facebook, Instagram, and website.

What Organizations can do

The Organization role unlocks the most powerful set of tools on Tanguear:

Create and publish events

This is the defining feature. As an Organization, you can:

  • Create events with full details: title, description, images, videos, and guest lists
  • Define schedules — each event can have multiple sessions with different types, dates, venues, and prices
  • Set up recurrences — for weekly milongas or regular classes
  • Sell tickets — set a price and attendees can purchase directly in the app
  • Manage capacity — limit attendance per schedule

See the guides on Creating and Managing Events and Selling Tickets for Your Events for the full details.

Access the Publisher Area

Organizations have access to the Publisher Area — a full web dashboard for managing events, orders, customers, products, and revenue from a computer. See the dedicated guide for details.

Sell on the marketplace

Beyond tickets, you can list products (tango shoes, clothing, accessories) in the Tanguear marketplace, with inventory tracking and product variants.

Connect to Stripe

To receive payments, Organizations complete the Stripe Connect onboarding — a one-time setup that links your bank account to Tanguear.

How Organizations interact with other roles

You are an Organization and... What happens
A Dancer finds your event They can attend, buy tickets, and mark their participation
A Teacher collaborates with you You can feature them as a guest instructor in your event schedules
A Musician performs at your event They appear as a guest performer in the schedule
A Musicalizador DJs your milonga They appear in the event details and their style is visible to attendees
Another Organization You can both publish events independently — attendees can attend both

What Organizations cannot do

Because the Organization profile is separate from the Dancer profile:

  • No dance partner requests — Organizations cannot send or receive partner requests
  • No dance ratings — not applicable to an organisation
  • No proficiency level or dance role — these are personal dancer attributes
  • No school creation — schools are created by Teachers

If the person behind the organisation also dances, they can create a separate Dancer profile to enjoy those features personally.

Tips for a great Organization profile

  • Write a compelling overview — tell dancers why they should come to your milonga.
  • Add your address — dancers search by location, so make it easy to find you.
  • Complete Stripe onboarding early — do not wait until the night before your first paid event.
  • Use the Publisher Area — it is much easier to manage a complex festival from a computer.
  • Feature your guests — adding teachers, musicians, and DJs to your schedules makes your events more attractive.
